2-Ingredient Grilling Sauces

Grilling time is the BEST time! Add some extra, natural flavor to your meats and veggies with these delicious two-ingredient grilling sauces. The secret is in the sauce (psst: it’s the honey).

A good barbecue sauce is generally a coveted family secret. Some sauces are tangy, while others are sweet. We want to share with your a few of our favorite recipes when we’re grilling at the honey farm.

Honey Garlic

Ingredients: 

Directions:

Stir together ingredients until well combined.

A few of our favorite uses:

  • Marinate chicken, salmon or your favorite fish overnight in sauce.
  • Baste meats, fish and/or veggies with sauce while grilling.
  • Whisk in equal parts olive oil and balsamic vinegar for quick and delicious salad dressing.

* This recipe was made using prepared garlic puree paste. If using fresh garlic, crush 6-8 cloves.

 

Sweet Chipotle 

Ingredients: 

Directions: 

In a blender or mini food processor, combine peppers and honey.

Blend and puree until smooth.

A few of our favorite uses:

  • Marinate chicken, pork or veggies overnight in sauce.
  • Baste grilled meats with sauce while cooking.
  • Serve as a sauce, drizzled over grilled meats.

 

Sriracha Honey 

Ingredients: 

Directions: 

Stir together ingredients until well combined.

A few of our favorite uses:

  • Marinate salmon, chicken, wings, pork, veggie burgers or brats overnight.
  • Bacon wrap chicken, then baste with sauce while grilling.
  • Thread chicken-sweet-potato-pineapple on skewers. Baste, grill and enjoy!
  • Drizzle over grilled sweet potatoes for a delicious side dish.

 

Red Miso Honey 

Ingredients: 

Directions: 

In a blender, puree ingredients until well combined.

A few of our favorite uses:

  • Marinate salmon, chicken or pork overnight.
  • Mix into burger meat or spread atop veggie burgers before grilling.
  • Use as a basting sauce while grilling. Especially delicious with Asian-style squashes and/or root veggies (eggplants, carrots and parsnips, snap peas, asparagus, potatoes and sweet potatoes).

 

Honey Mustard 

Ingredients: 

Directions: 

Whisk ingredients together until well combined.

A few of our favorite uses:

  • Make a double batch, marinate and baste chicken, salmon or pork with sauce. Garnish with parsley.
  • Thread salmon cubes with tomatoes, peppers and/or zucchini. Baste, grill and serve.
  • Drizzle over grilled asparagus.
  • Drizzle over a fresh green salad and grilled veggies for a delicious dressing.
