Nate's Honey

What can I pair honey with?

Honey is an all-natural sweetener and an ideal swap for processed sugar. For more, check out 8 foods to pair honey with at nateshoney.com/8-foods-to-pair-honey-with/ and check out our recipe section at nateshoney.com/all-recipes/.

Why should I choose Nate’s Honey over other honeys?

Nate’s Honey is proud to be known for many things, and at the top of that list is our purity and taste. We have strict testing standards to ensure every bottle is as simple and pure as it is straight from the hive. We build on the highest-quality honey by crafting award-winning flavors that are consistent between each bottle, no matter the season. Is honey better for me than processed sugar?

Honey is ready to eat straight from the hive, as natural as a sweetener can be – no processing necessary! Not only is it produced naturally, without the interference of human hands, honey’s chemical structure is more easily broken down digestively than its processed alternatives. This means no sugar high or crash! Learn more about our real honey at https://nateshoney.com/our-story/.

Do you have a retail store?

At this time, we do not have a retail store. Visit our top retailers at nateshoney.com/store-finder/ for more information on where to buy our products.

Through our Honey Gives Hope program, we partner with and fund organizations that make a positive impact. To learn more about the causes we support at nateshoney.com/honey-gives-hope/.

Where does Nate’s Honey source its honey?

Each of our honey products is sourced from different regions to meet our customers’ specific honey needs and provide the highest-quality, best-tasting honey. You can always learn where our honey is sourced by checking the source stamp on our caps. Check out our sourcing blog to learn about your favorite honey: https://www.nateshoney.com/where-does-nates-source-its-honey/.

Do you test your honey? Does it contain corn/rice syrup adulteration or pesticides?

Nate’s Honey industry-leading testing practices ensure you are getting the purest, highest-quality honey available. We invest in best practices to guarantee you receive 100% pure honey every time. My honey is hard. Does this mean it’s crystallized?

When honey is hardened or crystallized, it is simply raw honey going back to its natural form. Crystallized honey can still be eaten (it’s a delicious treat) and can easily and safely be returned to a liquid state.

For additional information on crystallization and returning to liquid, check out our blog https://www.nateshoney.com/honey-turned-solid-its-real and https://www.nateshoney.com/crystallization-normal-natural-process/.

Do you heat your honey? If so, to what temperature is it heated?

To guarantee the integrity of our honey and keep its naturally occurring goodness, we slowly and gently warm straight-from-the-hive honey to the minimum temperature necessary to make it the right consistency to pour into the bottle. Learn more about our raw and unfiltered process at https://nateshoney.com/raw-unfiltered/.

Is all of your honey organic?

Since our classic honey includes honey from the U.S., it can’t be certified organic. Because bee flight paths are untraceable, the USDA will not certify honey sourced from the U.S. as organic. However, Nate’s Honey does internal and external testing to validate our honey for purity, as well as a clean read of pesticides and antibiotics. Our industry-leading testing ensures our honey is of organic-certified quality. Our organic blend is crafted by partnering closely with trusted beekeeper partners from around the world to source the highest-quality and best-tasting USDA certified organic honey.

Is the honey non-GMO?

Honey is considered a non-GMO food because it is produced naturally by honey bees, which are not genetically modified organisms. The nectar used to make honey comes from plants and is not artificially altered in a laboratory. According to UC Davis, while trace amounts of pollen in honey (about 0.2% on average) could theoretically contain GMO proteins, this level is far below the 0.9% threshold required for GMO labeling in most countries.

Do you feed the bees? If so, what?

We work with a trusted network of beekeepers and test our honey both externally through third-party laboratories and internally through our certified QA team to make sure Nate’s Honey is always 100% pure and unadulterated. For more expert information on what bees eat, we recommend visiting honey.com or reaching out to your local beekeeping association.

What are you doing to support the bees?

Nate’s Honey prioritizes bee health. Along with the beekeepers at Nate’s Hives, we partner with responsible beekeepers who follow industry best practices with honey bee health in mind.
